ALICE DAY, POE, AND THE DISNEY CONNECTION

I was looking through the best resource I have found on the net regarding Alice Day this week, absolutezerounited.blogspot.com , and what should I discover but now the pedophiles are listing Edgar Allen Poe in with Lewis Caroll as a Pedophile symbol for them. Why? Because Poe had married his 13 year old cousin - who was dying of TB and who never slept in the same bed with him.

Why he did this has been the subject of some debate for years, but never has it been suggested he did it because he was a pedophile. Everyone who knows anything about the history of Edgar Alan Poe would know better than to ever think of something so twisted and insane! These people, however, just keep seeing what they want to justify what they do. To snatch beloved icons in an attempt to shove it in the faces of anti-pedophiles and say, "See? You like pedophiles!"

As someone said to me the other day, isn't it ironic that they never use living people in their campaigns? Jerry Lee Lewis, for example, did marry and did have sex with his 13 year old cousin. Why do you think they won't touch him? They'd get sued.

Now, in about 50 or 60 years from now, they'll surely use him as their icon. Bet on it. Right now is too soon. They have to wait for facts to become forgotten so they can distort history to their own agenda. Although, not much distortion is needed in the clear cut case of Lewis. So, why not choose him? Why only go after men who are dead and long gone and have no family who will .. Oh, that's right... sue.

I want to make an interesting notation here: I don't know how many of you have the Disney Channel, but I find it very odd that Alice In Wonderland isn't often aired. I mean, it's an old movie and for most of the year, they want to appeal to the generation of today. However, guess what aired all weekend this past weekend on the Disney Channel.

WHO WE ARE

PACA: Pagans Against Child Abuse was created as a group some years ago by Pagans who were concerned about child safety issues and child abuse.  While I wasn't one of the original creators of the group, I thought it a wonderful idea, and a wonderful way to learn and spread awareness.

I was eventually asked to take the group over.  The group is now located on Facebook, and the articles and information are being moved here.  Please feel free to browse the old articles and info, read the new stuff as it's added, and comment when you feel the need (keeping in mind that comments here are moderated).  Apologies if this new setup is less convenient... but it is easier for me to keep track of and monitor.
